In this role, you will be responsible for providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents.
- Assisting with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care.
- Transferring, repositioning, and walking residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Performing range of motion and passive exercises.
- Preparing food and creating a positive dining experience for the resident.
- Documenting resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicating resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
What We Look For:
A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred, but not required. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is also preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
