Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Administrator in Training. As a trainee, you will work under the guidance of a preceptor to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to manage resident services. You will learn how to analyze complex administrative issues, data, and processes, requiring advanced specialist knowledge and in-depth industry expertise.
You will complete 1000 hours of hands-on training in various departments, including Administration, Human Resources, Nursing, Business Office/Financial Management, Dietary, Rehabilitation, Medical Records, Activities, Social Services/Admissions, Housekeeping/Laundry, and Environmental Management/Maintenance. You will also participate in live and virtual instruction, self-study, and on-the-job training to ensure successful completion of the program.
Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of a preceptor to develop skills and knowledge in managing resident services.
- Analyze complex administrative issues, data, and processes, requiring advanced specialist knowledge and in-depth industry expertise.
- Complete 1000 hours of hands-on training in various departments.
- Participate in live and virtual instruction, self-study, and on-the-job training.
- Observe and participate in activities associated with administration or resident care as directed by the preceptor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in healthcare administration.
- Work experience in a long-term care setting desired.
- Must meet eligibility for a Nursing Home Administrator's license or certification issued by the state upon successful completion of training.
