Job Description
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include:
- Providing basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and vital sign measurement.
- Assisting residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and dining assistance.
- Transferring, repositioning, and walking residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Completing tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for residents.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate empathy and compassion for residents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certified with the State Board of Nursing or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
- Have prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
