The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in our long-term care facilities. As an LPN with our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to residents of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nursing Care: Provide professional nursing care for residents under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of residents to evaluate their physical and psychosocial needs.
- Meds Administration: Administer medications or treatments as ordered by healthcare professionals.
- Documentation: Accurately document resident interactions, outcomes, and any other relevant information.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Certifications: If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board-approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
- Experience: Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
- Continuing Education: Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
