**Job Responsibilities**
As a Nursing Assistant with the Good Samaritan Society, you will be responsible for:
- Providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents.
- Assisting with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care.
- Providing assistance with meals and snacks, and providing water and supplements as appropriate.
- Collecting non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathering vital signs.
Qualifications
To be successful as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Good Samaritan Society, you must have:
- A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- A minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
