About the Position
This position requires a certified nursing assistant to provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and also provide range of motion and passive exercises.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Requirements
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
