About the Role:
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team as a Travel CNA. This opportunity allows CNAs to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from their home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. You will also assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and complete tasks related to food preparation and dining while creating a positive dining experience for the resident.

Requirements:
A High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.
