About the Role:
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a Nursing Care Specialist, you will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities:
- Provides basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures if needed.
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
Salary Information:
