This dynamic position involves working as part of our nursing team, providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing Personalized Care: Assist residents with their physical and psychological needs, adhering to individual care plans.
- Daily Living Assistance: Support residents with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and psychosocial support.
- Care Documentation: Record resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary requirements.
- Communication: Inform the charge nurse about any changes in a resident's condition or care-related concerns/responses.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents in maintaining clean and operational living areas.
Requirements:
- A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred but not required.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
- A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State Board of Nursing or state-certified CNA within four months of employment is required.
- Satisfactory completion of yearly department-specific competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits are necessary.
