Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team in long-term care. The successful candidate will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining vital signs.
• Assist with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as necessary.
• Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures if needed.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
• Gather vital signs and collect non-invasive body fluid specimens.
Qualifications:
• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior experience in long-term care an asset.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or certified CNA within four months of hire.
