Job Title: Nursing Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at GSS NE Albion. As a member of our nursing team, you will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
- Provides resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents.
- Assists with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
- Provides psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed.
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
