Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Nursing Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to our residents in long-term care settings, working closely with our nursing team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
About the Role:
- Provide resident-centered care, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing.
- Take vital signs, provide psychosocial support, and assist with transfers and mobility.
- Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Participate in wellness and recreational programs to encourage resident engagement and participation.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and nights.
- Availability to work at least one weekend rotation per month.
