Nursing Assistant Job

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at GSS ND Lakota Ctr. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and service to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment.

Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident.
• Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
• Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed.
• Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.

Requirements:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
