Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team as a Travel CNA. This opportunity allows a CNA to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Transfer, reposition, and walk residents using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises to residents.
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
- Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be a high school graduate or hold a general equivalency diploma (GED).
- Have a minimum age of 16.
- Have prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care, preferably.
- Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or be state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
- CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
- Meet other qualifications dependent on facility and required responsibilities.
