Job Title: Physical Therapist

The ideal candidate will have experience in administering physical therapy interventions, conducting examinations and evaluations, and documenting client information for evaluation. They will also be knowledgeable about age-related treatments and evaluations, as well as current research in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
- Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease.
- Administer physical therapy interventions following established safeguards.
- Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation.
- Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
- Knowledgeable about age-related treatments and evaluations relating to the needs of clients/patients/residents.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents.
- Meet all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health.
- May supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.
- Provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership.
Work Environment: Based on facility needs and assigned locations, may focus on those receiving intervention in the post-acute, long term care, and home health care environments.
