Job Summary
We are seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our team. The trainee will be enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop the confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver that provides personal care to clients.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provide holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner.
- Work within the role of a non-certified nursing assistant and assist with basic health care needs and activities of daily living.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned within non-certified nursing assistant role.
- Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse.
Requirements
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy.
