Job Description
We are seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our team. As a trainee, you will be enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop your confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will work in partnership with a preceptor to provide holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner.
The Nursing Assistant Trainee is required to work within the role of a non-certified nursing assistant and must fulfill all training requirements in the designated timeframe. The program is delivered in a hybrid format, which includes an online curriculum and hands-on skills development.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, and obtaining vital signs.
- Provide psychosocial support and deliver other personal care as assigned.
- Assist with basic health care needs and activities of daily living.
- Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse.
