**Job Overview**
The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in our team, serving as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. This position requires a caring and compassionate individual who can provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures if needed.
- Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
