Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to work in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles, competency in practices, and the ability to perform testing to evaluate resident data. They will also ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents, contribute to assessments, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and provide technical support to healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents
Contributes to the assessment of residents
Administers medications or treatments as ordered
Provides technical support to healthcare professionals
Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public
Ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team
Requirements
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
