At the Good Samaritan Society, our mission is to provide quality, dependable care at just the right time. We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing essential nursing care for residents in a long-term care facility.
The LPN will work on an interdisciplinary team to enhance resident well-being by administering medications, supporting healthcare professionals, and ensuring the health and safety of residents. This full-time evening position requires an unencumbered LPN license and offers a competitive salary range of $26.00 - $36.00 per hour, along with a generous benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and work/life balance benefits.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care
* Demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting
* Administering medications or treatments as ordered
* Documenting resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
* Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public
Requirements:
* Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
* Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
* Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
* Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
