Facility and Shift Information
We offer multiple services from general long-term care, short-stay rehab, and memory care unit at the Sioux Falls Village facility. We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on an evening shift, working full-time hours from 2pm to 10:30pm every other weekend and holiday.
About the Job
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. You will demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting and possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status.
You will ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents, contribute to the assessment of residents, and administer medications or treatments as ordered. You will also document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing is required.
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
