Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.
- Assists residents with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
