Job Description
- The Senior Healthcare Support Specialist serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care facilities.
- Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of residents, as per their individual care plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A high school graduate or equivalent diploma (GED) is preferred but not required.
- Minimum age of 16 years old.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
