What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Analyst position at Good Samaritan?
This is an onsite position, at our physical location.
Job Summary:
Administer, monitor and maintain software infrastructures and applications, overseeing practices and processes to ensure integrity, safety and availability of all data and applications. This position has a primary focus on Oracle Report writing for HR, Supply Chain and Financial Departments and working with Oracle’s Fusion Analytics.
Essential Job Duties:
- Acquires and maintains a moderate understanding of the technical and functional architecture of assigned applications and integration.
- Develops and maintains a good understanding of business unit functions, processes and operations for assigned applications.
- Manages IS projects for small to medium organizational initiatives.
- Participates in functional and integrated testing routines for assigned applications in preparation for new technology implementation, upgrades or other modifications.
- Provides second level support for issues that are not able to be resolved by service desk staff for assigned applications utilizing both internal and vendor resources to facilitate a solution for common and moderately complex system issues. Records, documents, and resolves; or escalates issues as necessary.
- Prepares and maintains documentation to support system maintenance, testing and end user training as needed as well as documentation related to issue resolution per IS documentation standards.
- 7. Collaborates with key stakeholders in the training of peers, end users and other IS team members as needed.
- Performs routine care and feeding of assigned applications.
- Monitors performance of assigned applications following implementation, upgrade or modification.
Requirements:
- Education: 2 year college degree in computer science/information systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 3-10 years of experience in Oracle Report writing tools: OTBI, BI Publisher, FRS and Fusion Analytics. Healthcare industry experience helpful.
- Location: Onsite required, Remote possibility in the future.
