Do you have a heart for moms and babies? Good Shepherd Children & Family Services is looking for caring, dedicated women to join our Maternity Shelter & Transitional Living Program, which provides intensive, 24-hour care for teen and young adult moms and their babies facing homelessness.
Primary duties:
We have an immediate need for the overnight shift. Weekend and evening shifts are also available. Full, Part time and on call schedules are available. This position is responsible for day-to-day care and oversight of residents and their babies, facilitation of daily activities, and individual coaching of young mothers. The position requires not merely a heart for children and families, but also an attitude of respect, collaboration, and commitment to our strength-based, family-centered treatment model. The safety and well-being of mothers and babies is our first concern, so the work requires unwavering commitment and the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
Qualifications for positions:
Candidates for the Parenting Specialist position should have previous experience working with children and families; they should demonstrate good judgment and the capacity for independent decision making, as well as the ability to provide creative and engaging activities for residents. General requirements include a minimum age of 21 years and a High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of experience in a related field are preferred but not required.
Hours: Friday- Sunday (3 PM-11 PM)
