DEFINITION OF POSITION:Directs and supervises nursing services in the GSMG internal Medicine Clinic in accordance with governmental and other regulatory standards. Is a member of the GSMG management team and as such facilitates development of department mission, goals, budgets, policies, procedures, and work standards. Compiles and analyzes data, prepares and presents statistical information on department performance, productivity, activity, and budget to administration. Uses TQM methods to improve performance and processes. Oversees nursing care essential to the assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients' health and wellness. Oversees patient needs and suggestions solutions to patient care problems. Selects, orients, trains, and evaluates clinic nursing staff. Ensures the development and delivery of nursing education to staff. Demonstrates proper nursing skills through job performance. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision and quality commitment of Good Shepherd Health Care System.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current RN license in the State of Oregon.
Minimum of five years medical office nursing experience desired. Two or more years experience as a supervisor in a clinic setting preferred.
