The program is operational Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 10 PM and Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM. (Summer : Monday- Friday 8 : 00am – 11 : 00pm & Saturday / Sunday 3 : 00pm – 11 : 00pm) The Senior Program Director manages daily planning, scheduling and operations.REPORTS TO : Vice PresidentLOCATION : 2100 Monterey Avenue Bronx, NY 10457HOURS : 35 Hours / Week; ExemptSCHEDULE : Monday - Friday, 10am to 6pm,
- Must have the flexibility to come in earlier or stay later or on the weekends as needed.
- SALARY : $75,000 - $85,000MAJOR DUTIES : Overall leadership and responsibility for the after-school, evening and weekend program, including development and implementation of all appropriate policies and procedures.Direct supervision of Assistant Program Director of Afterschool and Evening / Weekend program staff and volunteers.In conjunction with Division Director, responsible for the direct hiring, staff development and training of staff.Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with community co-locators and other organizations and entities that utilize the Community Center.Responsible for creation of schedule for components of program.Conduct staff development for Group Leaders, Program Aides and youth interns.Oversee and troubleshoot all issues related to operations and facilities issues.In conjunction with Division Director, monitor budget, managing all expenditures related to program.Responsible for the completion of all program statistics and reports in a timely manner.Ensure appropriate utilization of internal and external databases.Responsible for implementation of Council on Accreditation (COA) guidelines.Ensure public contract and private foundation requirements are met.Participate in development of grant proposals and site visits.Ensure DOH licensing requirements are met for regular site activities and annual summer camp.Develop a collaborative relationship with New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) staff.Participate in meetings with Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), Department of Education (DOE), New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and other appropriate city and state agencies as needed.Oversee implementation of all internal and external evaluations, surveys, etc.Work collaboratively with central office (HR, QI, Fiscal, Contracts, Development); staff providing information as needed in a timely manner.Represent agency on relevant external committees and work groups.Develop collaborative relationship with New York Police Department (NYPD) for program security and crisis intervention.Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s Degree Required. (Candidates currently enrolled in a BA / BS credit earning program or will be enrolled within 6 months of starting the job along with a SACC Credential Course, will be considered.)Program Director Experience or Supervisor of multi-sites or multi-initiatives preferred.5 years of experience in program development for youth and adults.3 years of supervisory experience preferred.Must have the ability to work Saturdays and evenings.Experience with facility management preferred.Familiarity with NYCHA preferred.Must be able to engage in crisis-intervention activities and demonstrate, lead and teach a range of group activities.Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and / or youth development perspective.#J-18808-Ljbffr
