The Opportunity
Good360 is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President (VP) of Disaster Resource Development to spearhead efforts in securing resources for disaster preparedness and response. This role focuses on cultivating and managing relationships with corporate retail partners, individual donors, and philanthropic organizations, while overseeing fundraising campaigns and communications strategies. The VP will work collaboratively with the Senior Vice President of Disaster Preparedness and Response and the leadership team to ensure alignment of resource development with programmatic goals.

Key Responsibilities
Resource Development
- Corporate Retail Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with corporate retail partners to secure both product donations and financial contributions for disaster relief efforts.
- Individual Giving: Develop and execute strategies to increase individual giving, including major gifts, online campaigns, and donor engagement initiatives.
- Philanthropic Support: Identify and cultivate relationships with foundations, Grantmakers, and other philanthropic organizations to secure funding for disaster preparedness and response programs.
Communications and Messaging
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications plan that aligns with Good360s disaster preparedness and response strategy.
- Messaging Oversight: Advise on messaging and content development to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with organizational goals and donor priorities.
- Storytelling and Advocacy: Craft compelling narratives that highlight Good360s impact in disaster-affected areas, driving awareness and support.
Collaboration and Innovation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the SVP of Disaster Preparedness and Response, marketing, communications, and development teams to align resource development efforts with programmatic needs.
- Innovative Fundraising: Explore and implement innovative fundraising models, such as cause marketing, peer-to-peer campaigns, and disaster-specific appeals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Good360 in external meetings, conferences, and media opportunities to advocate for disaster preparedness and resource needs.
- Experience: A minimum of 810 years of experience in fundraising, resource development, or nonprofit leadership, with a strong focus on corporate partnerships and individual giving.
- Fundraising Expertise: Proven success in securing major corporate and individual contributions, as well as managing large-scale fundraising campaigns.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for crafting persuasive messaging and content.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared purpose.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute resource development strategies that drive results.
- Education: Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, communications, or a related field preferred.
Reporting
The Vice President of Disaster Resource Development reports to the Senior Vice President of Disaster Preparedness and Response and works closely with the Chief Resource Development Officer and other members of the leadership team.
Travel requirement
This position may require occasional travel to disaster-affected areas, corporate partner offices, and events.
