Job Summary :
Join our dynamic team as a Construction Project Manager, where you will be at the forefront of overseeing safe and efficient operations at various job sites. Your role is crucial in ensuring our projects adhere to company policies and safety standards while delivering quality results that meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities :
Technical : Means / Methods
Exhibit technical expertise in construction disciplines such as excavation, pipe work, concrete, paving, and grading.
Lead project teams by effectively scheduling manpower and equipment as necessary.
Manage the flow of deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety and scheduling benchmarks while controlling costs.
Technical : Delay-Free Production / Quality
Foster client satisfaction through clear communication and exemplary service delivery.
Direct operations to optimize equipment usage and reduce downtime.
Relay productivity metrics, quality benchmarks, and daily performance targets to project teams.
Prepare sites for upcoming work phases and conduct daily project meetings to align objectives.
Safety
Implement and uphold comprehensive safety programs, with advance planning to identify risks and ensure the proper use of PPE.
Acquire necessary safety equipment to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
Conduct detailed site inspections and enforce compliance with safety standards among employees and subcontractors.
Leadership & Supervision
Collaborate with field managers, superintendents, and clients to successfully execute project plans.
Provide hands-on training and development opportunities for project teams.
Establish and communicate performance expectations related to productivity, quality, and safety.
Document project performance and contribute to decisions on promotions and salary adjustments.
Enforce disciplinary actions when necessary, in consultation with management.
Encourage teamwork, motivation, and an environment of continuous improvement.
Communicate and uphold company policies and procedural guidelines.
Administrative : Contract, Scheduling, and Budget
Understand and apply contract terms to effectively manage projects.
Address customer inquiries and clarify contract-related issues with the project team.
Create and implement project schedules to ensure workflow is efficient and effective.
Review pre-job checklists and highlight potential concerns to the project team.
Monitor project cost reports and maintain financial efficiency.
Ensure accurate completion of project documentation, including change orders, purchase orders, and daily reports.
Maintain control over materials and supplies to avoid shortages and delays.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Oversee project personnel, including laborers, equipment operators, and subcontractors.
Manage subcontractor and supplier engagements as necessary.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; additional construction education preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of construction experience in one trade discipline (excavation, pipe, concrete, paving) with at least 2 years in project management preferred.
OSHA 10-hour certification is required.
A valid driver's license is essential.

Physical Demands :

Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Specific vision demands include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work Environment :
Exposure to outdoor work conditions, mechanical components, elevated workspaces, airborne particles, chemicals, and vibrations.
Potential exposure to loud noise levels due to equipment operation.
May encounter risks of electrical shock and work with explosives.
