Job Description
Summary/objective
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for three specific components of our business.
They include Procurement, Inventory Control, and Logistics.
Procurement
• Oversees and directs a team of purchasing agents
• Major hands-on role in the overall success of the Operations Team to create exceptional customer service
• Uses ERP systems and demand forecasting models to ensure on-time availability of parts for sales and manufacturing Inventory Control
• Responsible for overall integrity and accuracy of the company's physical inventory
• Plans, executes, and reconciles full physical inventories and cycle count processes in warehouse locations and throughout the distribution process
• Oversees inventory levels by working with a local team to receive and record new stock, record daily deliveries, evaluate new shipments, and fulfill orders
• Drives efforts to improve physical inventory management practices and accuracy
Logistics
• Responsible for the efficient movement of all goods from suppliers to Goodfellow facilities and to customers
• Includes stock orders, transfer orders, and special order parts Competencies
• Strong time management skills
• Good leadership qualities including verbal and written communication
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with the rest of the team
• Desire to be constantly learning about the job as well as keeping skills up to date
• Ability to take constructive criticism well Supervisory responsibilities
Work environment
The typical work environment is in an office setting.
Physical demands
The Employee is required to stay at a desk the majority of the time.
Travel required
There will be rare travel requirements to visit our other locations
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in Netsuite and RF Smart preferred
• 3-5 years minimum experience leading a Supply Chain team
• Education in Supply Chain Management preferred
