Summary:
The Analyst will play a key role on the Structured Products team within broader Capital Markets group to help execute GoodLeap’s strategy for funding and managing our solar and home improvement loans. The ideal candidate will have a base knowledge in securitization issuance and cashflow modeling. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, technical and interpersonal skills, and the desire to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support 3rd party issuance of asset-backed securitizations including reviewing offering memorandums, preparing presentations, and working with deal parties including rating agencies, accountants, and trustees
- Interact with existing and potential investors through due diligence sessions and ad hoc requests
- Monitor and communicate performance of outstanding securitizations backed by GoodLeap loans
- Develop and maintain cashflow models for new products and financing structures
- Responsible for preparation and reconciliation of monthly reports for outstanding transactions
- Provide support to various ongoing and future projects as needed
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s (or advanced) degree
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience (e.g. consumer finance, project finance, corporate strategy, strategy and operations, structured finance, asset-backed finance, M&A, investment banking, or structured products focused accounting)
- Basic understanding of asset-backed securitizations, whole loan sales, various debt, and equity financing structures
- Proficient with MS Excel including VBA, PowerPoint, and highly skilled with other MS Office products including Word
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Superb attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Proficiency with SQL, Python or other data analysis tools a plus
- Must be passionate about finance and/or the renewable energy/home improvement space
Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 per year
