In-Office, Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Bookkeeper / Controller will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and overseeing HR functions. This role requires expertise in financial forecasting, cost control, tax coordination, and operational efficiency. Familiarity with MarginEdge, BambooHR, and Toast is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to streamline processes while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor cash flow, reconcile accounts, and manage financial risk.
- Utilize MarginEdge to streamline bill-paying processes and optimize financial workflows.
Tax & Compliance
- Coordinate tax payments and filings in collaboration with CPA.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial records to support audits and investor reporting.
Strategic Planning & Cost Control
- Identify financial efficiencies and opportunities to improve profitability.
- Provide leadership with data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
HR & Payroll Administration
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding.
- Manage HR functions using BambooHR to maintain employee records and compliance.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in MarginEdge, BambooHR, and Toast (or a willingness to learn).
- Strong understanding of tax regulations, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
The base pay range for this position is a range of 70,000 to $85,000 based on experience.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
