What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience :
This is a hands-on, physical role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and around industrial equipment. Candidates must be able to climb ladders, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, and pull as part of routine tasks. The role requires regularly lifting up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, as well as walking long distances and entering confined spaces. Operating a company vehicle will be necessary for at least 70% of the time.
Must be comfortable working with computers, monitoring screens, and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. Flexibility to work various shifts, including overnight, early mornings, and weekends, as needed.Candidates must be comfortable working around high-pressure pipelines, hazardous chemicals, and flammable products, with frequent exposure to high noise levels and adverse driving conditions.
Operators work two-week shifts, called hitches. During their hitch, Operators are expected to work 12 hours per day, from 7 am to 7 pm. During their hitch, but while not working, Operators may engage in normal private pursuits, including eating, sleeping, entertaining, and other periods of complete freedom from all duties when they may leave the premises for their own purposes. However, Operators must be able to respond to on-site issues/situations in a reasonably timely manner. Overtime may be required.

- Conducting routine facility visits and visual inspections of sites, pipelines, and equipment.
- Performing minor mechanical repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring pipeline pressures, flow rates, and reporting key operational data.
- Performing pipeline operations, including valve inspection, block valve maintenance, leak detection, and transfer pump operation.
- Assisting with utility and pipeline locates, responding to Onecalls, and overseeing excavation work.
- Serving as the company representative for line crossings, Hydrovac services, and backfilling operations.
- Assisting pumpers with maintenance, repairs, and operational troubleshooting.
- Accurately recording operational data and maintaining compliance with company policies.
- Monitoring and supporting on-site subcontractors and providing feedback to management.
- Traveling to multiple sites as needed to support operations.
- Driving and maintaining a company vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Performing monthly NORM, SPCC, and site inspections, documenting findings in the work order system.
Position Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience :
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Pumper (prior directly-related industry experienced will be considered); Minimum of 1 year of Operator experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs.
- Knowledge and experience with computer systems such as FIIX, SCADA, Teams, Answernet, Eagle Eye, and truck ticketing.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts.
- Organized, dependable, and a team player.
- Strong customer service and hospitality skills.
- Attention to detail with a high sense of urgency.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to exercise good judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
