What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chimney Installer position at Goodrich Chimney Services?
Goodrich Chimney Services is looking for a experienced certified Chimney Installer. This position will be responsible for the installation of chimneys and ensuring we are delivering the best quality work and strongest customer service possible. The installer will address all customers respectfully, communicate; report any installation or service issues to the install manager & site Supers.
Job includes, but is not limited to:
- Driving to job sites, taking parts and installing, cleaning for aesthetics, and running the fireplace to check all quality aspects.
- Assist in the follow-up of outstanding issues that may be beyond the abilities of the inside sales team including technical troubleshooting, technical items on the NTS (need to schedule) spreadsheet, follow-up phone calls, and general technical phone calls.
- Work in the field as “emergency” jobs arise and actively work directly with the Manager to follow up on these types of issues to prevent them from escalating.
- Actively work with customers, builders, and inside sales team to foster healthy relationships and exceptional customer service.
- Answer questions regarding service procedures and install manual interpretation.
- Other Duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Ability to drive a company vehicle (must meet all requirements outlined in the fleet management policy)
- NFI certification
- 100% completion of Surefire training
- Comfortable with heights and climbing 40 foot ladders
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to communicate cordially and professionally with customers
Working Conditions
Work Environment:
- Constant - outdoors on job sites, in commercial construction settings or exposed to the elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow, and dust
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking on uneven and unstable surfaces (Loose Dirt, Rock, Gravel, etc.)
- Occasional climbing of ladders
- Frequent driving on non-CDL company vehicle
- Frequent ability to lift, bend, stoop, and kneel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
