Our client, A prominent consumer-packaged goods company, has a great opportunity for a Controller to oversee operational accounting for multiple manufacturing sites. This high-impact leadership role will manage accounts payable, receivable, and staff accounting, with a strong focus on systems, cost, and inventory control. The Controller will lead efforts to enhance financial processes, work closely with business partners, and provide strategic guidance to improve operational efficiency. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory integrity through controls, monthly/annual counts, and perpetual inventory accuracy.
- Analyze and optimize operational costs, providing data-driven insights to leadership.
- Oversee financial reporting and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Collaborate with FP&A for budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, with a focus on inventory movement and commodity cost impacts.
- Lead projects to improve processes, automation, and standard costing efficiency.
- Provide leadership, training, and development for accounting staff while collaborating across departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA a plus).
- 7 years of experience in manufacturing, cost, or inventory accounting, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
- Strong financial modeling skills and experience with ERP systems
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Salary : $160,000 - $175,000
