What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Tube Cell Operator position at Goodridge USA?
Position Purpose
This position performs manufacturing duties with particular expertise in all stages of tube bending operations, to include CNC bending, dedicated manual benders, and hand bending. This position may also perform assembly, warehouse, shipping, receiving duties as assigned.
Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks
- Set up and execute CNC tube benders programs.
- Produce parts in compliance with Goodridge work instructions, drawings, and bill of materials router.
- Check work quality using Coordinate Measuring equipment, fixtures, and gages as required.
- Follows Goodridge procedures and process instructions in accordance with ISO9001 program.
- Maintains the area’s fixtures, tooling and gages in clean and orderly condition.
- Performs operator defined equipment Preventative Maintenance.
- Assist and works with Engineers to develop new parts machine programs, and produce prototypes.
- Performs other work as required by the area Supervisor or Site Manger.
- Performs works safely and follows all Company procedures.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with company Safety & 5S programs.
Qualifications (Education | Certification | Experience)
- Knowledge of CNC bending software
- 2 years’ experience with programming and set up of CNC tube bending machines
- 2 years’ experience with setting-up, developing and manufacturing tube assemblies from start to finish
- Capable of using precision tools to accurately measure tight tolerances (CMM, calipers, height gauge, scales, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- High School diploma or equivalent
