As a Lead Veterinary Technician, you will assist doctors to improve our quality of care and to aid the doctors in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work. GoodVets Lead Technicians are also responsible for supervising other members of the clinic support staff team. A great Lead Technician will lead by example and remain calm and collected in the face of emergency situations.

Venipuncture Catheter placement
Radiology
Anesthesia monitoring
Physical examinations and patient assessment
Surgical preparation and assisting with dentistry laboratory work
Provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients
Contribute to a positive team culture by modeling core values
Demonstrate high professionalism
Supervise staff, approve timecards, escalate employee issues
Manage clinic inventory and appointment flow
What We Look For
Demonstrated passion to make a difference in pets and people’s lives
One or more years' experience in a veterinary support role
Proven ability to confidently support surgical procedures under minimal direction
Demonstrated ability to learn and execute standard operating procedures and hospital
protocols to maximize productivity and patient satisfaction
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with hospital teams
Intermediate to advanced skills in Practice Management Systems
One or more years’ experience supporting surgical procedures under minimal direction, preferred
Two or more years’ experience in a veterinary support role, preferred
Demonstrated ability to provide patient care in emergency situations/under high pressure, preferred
