A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL REPORTING & ACCOUNTING
Reporting to the President & CEO, this role provides financial leadership and services to the agency according to federal and local government regulations and Goodwill and GAAP financial standards. Specifically, it leads, directs and supports the accounting staff to assure that, at least, the following financial reporting and accounting items are prepared or occur timely - annual budgets, monthly financial statements and reports, annual audits and regulatory filings. Finally, it leads and facilitates the acquisition, development and retention of accounting department team members so that they can effectively meet the financial services needs of the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL REPORTING & ACCOUNTING
- 5-7 years of experience in multiple accounting functions is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business is preferred .The business equivalent thereto is required
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, as well as Sage 100, F9, Crystal Reports and/or other accounting software
