The Adult Education Teacher provides basic reading, writing, and math instruction to adult learners. The ideal candidate will create a supportive learning environment and develop personalized teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to adult learners with varying skill levels.
- Teach basic literacy and numeracy skills, including reading comprehension, writing, and foundational math.
- Assess students’ learning needs and progress through formal and informal evaluations.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and confidence building.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements.
- Collaborate with other educators, administrators, and support staff.
- Stay updated on best practices and resources in adult education.
- Other duties as assigned.
