This is a part time position, 25 hours a week, and the hourly rate is $19.25/hour.

As our new Accounts Receivable Specialist, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. You’ll be in charge of managing the accounts receivables including billing, collecting on accounts, and posting payments—all while supporting our mission-driven work that’s helping people and communities thrive.
What You’ll Do:
- Invoice Preparation: Prepare customer invoices for our Recycling, Workforce Development, and Donated Goods departments, plus any other invoices as needed.
- Payment Processing: Process payments on customer accounts and handle miscellaneous cash receipts, following our established policies.
- Account Monitoring: Keep an eye on customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and irregularities, all while adhering to our collection policy.
- Reconciliations: Prepare the Aged Trial Balance, reconcile Accounts Receivable to the General Ledger, and make sure everything adds up perfectly!
- Balance Sheet: Assist in preparing other Balance Sheet account reconciliations as assigned.
- Bank Deposits: Prepare bank deposit to keep us in the green.
- Billing Integrity Audits: Perform quarterly billing integrity audits to ensure everything is in compliance with third-party grants.
What We’re Looking For:
- Detail-Oriented: You’re a master at organizing and reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience with office software like MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting systems (Great Plains is a plus!).
- Great Communicator: You know how to effectively communicate with internal teams and customers to resolve any issues.
- Problem Solver: You can think analytically and troubleshoot issues with ease.
- Independent Worker: You can work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable, office, or computer work. High school diploma or equivalent required.
