GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Assist the Program Manager in coordinating and managing the staff and services of the Developmental Disability programs of Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, Inc.

- Provide program leadership through active involvement in service provision.
- Assist in the research and implementation of best practices in service delivery.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring of program staff.
- Assist with the management, training, and work performance monitoring of Direct Support Professionals as directed.
- Assist with monitoring the on-going staff training needs.
- Ensure completion of the individual assessment process.
- Participate in the development of Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
- Develop or serve as a resource in the development of skill training strategies and behavioral support strategies.
- Ensure training programs and service objectives are implemented and provided as written and scheduled.
- Monitor services provided to ensure progress.
- Monitor participant to staff ratios.
- Assist with ensuring compliance with agency policies and outside regulations and standards.
- Participate in agency quality assurance, program evaluation, and outcome monitoring activities.
- Coordinate Community Integration opportunities.
- Maintain and assure standards of safety for all participants and employees.
- Project a positive image of the organization and persons with disabilities in the community, promote inclusion.
- Assist Manager in marketing Goodwill Services in the community through presentations and relationships with potential partners.
- Timely arrival at the workplace and consistent attendance.
- Coordinate with staff and other Goodwill leaders the transportation for participants.
- Assist with Rights Referrals and present information to Rights Committee as directed.
- Active involvement in Advisory Board.
- Assist DD QA department in auditing, per policy and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the coverage of Goodwill On-Call Emergency phone rotation and be available for crisis intervention situations during staff coverage if needed.

- Complete other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one year experience in the field of developmental disabilities or Human Services related field and at least one year leadership or management experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must have a valid drivers license issued in the State of Nebraska and meet insurance requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to communicate in spoken conversation, adequate volume speech, and have normal hearing for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
- Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations; to move safely about the work area and out in the community.
- Visual acuity, depth perception and field of vision within normal range.
- Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day.
