JOB TITLE: Accountant

JOB OVERVIEW
This position is on-site within the Finance Department location in Downtown Toledo, OH. The accountant will be a liaison within the Finance department to communicate with other departments related to grants and programs as well as other responsibilities and duties within the department. The accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Grants & Programs
· Track and validate all expenses for grants & programs
· Create draws or invoices to submit for payment; Complete spreadsheets as needed to accompany invoices and reporting
· Maintain records of draws or invoices and agreements for monitoring or audits
· Verify payroll entries for each grant & programs
· Reconcile each grant & program monthly with the general ledger
Other Responsibilities
· Daily/weekly bank entries
· Analyze & track leases including entries through Lease Crunch
· Fixed assets / depreciation entries
· Month end Entries & Reconciliations
· Assist with year-end financial audit
· Backup for AR & AP positions
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must be Office 365 proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Must have at least 3 years of experience in A/R, A/P and G/L
· Must be detailed, organized and able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
· Must have own transportation and be reliable
Preferred Qualifications:
· Advanced Excel skills
· NetSuite experience
· Lease Crunch experience
· Grant accounting experience
· Two-year accounting degree
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt – Hourly Rate - $19-$20 based on experience
