POSITION SUMMARY
The Administrator of DGR Volunteer Programs reports to the manager and assistant manager of DGR Volunteer Programs and provides administrative support concerning court-appointed and AARP volunteers within the DGR operation. Support includes working with referral agencies, volunteers, and DGR managers to coordinate enrollment, placement, scheduling, monitoring, and dismissal of volunteers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with screening and scheduling process for participants in court-appointed and AARP volunteer positions. Process volunteer applications and accurately maintain community service documentation.
- Communicate daily with DGR managers to monitor and document progress of volunteer placement, and review with Manager regarding actions needed.
- Utilize multiple communication channels to reach volunteers informing them of progress and updates.
- Coordinate with Manager regarding communications with referring agencies, judicial and others, about volunteer performance, including dismissals for unacceptable behavior.
- Administer assessments of volunteer performance and interest in DGR employment. Coordinate with Manager to facilitate the DGR employment process as necessary.
- Maintain applicable documentation of each screening and assessment.
- Document all volunteer activities in applicable systems and ensure data fidelity for all volunteers.
- Generate required and ad hoc reports such as volunteer hours worked and communicate the results to the appropriate stakeholders on a weekly basis.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.
- Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to all volunteer information.
REQUIREMENTS
- Some completed college coursework in HR, psychology, counseling, etc. preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in fast-paced employment, social services and/or retail environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills in MS Office, word, excel and databases
