Job Title: Production Assistant
Reports To: Store Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt

Grade: Grade 3
Mission Contribution:
The Production Assistant maximizes the value of donations partnering with team members to provide efficient quality sorting and processing of merchandise.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Consistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core Values.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established safety and operational guidelines.
- Consistently interacting with co-workers, shoppers, and donors in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Perform duties and responsibilities as requested, with guidance from management.
Level 1
- Scans books and sorts into appropriate categories
- Assists with production, by sorting product to price, salvage, send to e-commerce, and/or trash.
- Assists Donation Attendant with bringing in donations, when assigned.
- Promptly greets customer and donors when working on the sales floor or in the donation center.
Level 2
- Prices books & other media, merchandise to salesfloor at a rate of 50% to goal.
- Can independently work donations for limited time 30 minutes or less, hands out receipt to track donors.
- Assists with tagging containers and product movement including move to storage or move to stations.
Level 3
- Prices hardlines and/or softlines, achieves a 70% rate to hourly goal.
- Can independently bring in donations for 50% of their shift, contacts other for support, use Legal list, complete five-minute drill in donation, when assigned.
- Sanitize station, racks, and carts.
- Refills supplies, sanitize and clean restroom, when assigned.
- Removes garbage from donation or stations and runs trash compactor.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Available to work a minimum of 16 hour on a varied schedule, including weekends
- Agree to initial assessment, goal setting and continued development through duration of employment
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with management, team members, and customers.
- Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to learn operation of non-power equipment
