E-Commerce Quality Control Specialist

Description of Responsibilities: The eCommerce Quality Control Specialist is responsible for the sorting and selection of art/fine art for online and in-store sales. They will work with the art department staff to ensure that only quality pieces are chosen for sale. They will follow the designated process of receiving, pricing and shipping art out to stores. The eCommerce Quality Control Specialist is also responsible for the sorting and selection of online appropriate items from the store's donated merchandise. They will work with the retail production staff to ensure online appropriate items are sent to eCommerce department consistently, coaching the team on product knowledge when needed. They will also be responsible for accurate documentation and staging of selected products to be sold through the eCommerce department.
Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. E-bay, Amazon or other online marketplace experience required.
Required skills: Ability to demonstrate an ongoing and continual interest in learning about identifying and pricing valuable items including collectibles/jewelry/fine art/art/electronics and more. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs. Ability to research information online, through multiple websites. Type at least 40 words per minute; communicate effectively, both written and verbally; able to listen to and follow instructions; use good judgment and exercise patience and understanding; Knowledge of basic math skills; stand for extended periods of time; ambulate independently, to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull; read fine print/engraving and recognize colors; occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; occasionally work outdoors where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
Essential Functions:
Efficiently send fine art out to stores and track sales; identify and process items to make sure they are stored in the proper section; label, clean and stage items; Meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly production goals as assigned; quality standards of work produced; Accurately represent all items (including damages, imperfections, defects) through photographs, written/typed item descriptions and UPC scans; Properly and legibly, label hoppers, carts, containers, and bins; put salvage into appropriate containers; Maintain a clean workstation; Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
Works flexible schedule based on the needs of the business. Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
