You may be who we are looking for in our newest position : SCSEP Program Assistant!
The SCSEP program is designed for people aged 55 and older who reside in Southwest Virgina and who have at least one barrier to employment. The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) provides career counseling, evaluation, employment / career readiness training, job placement, supported employment, retention, job coaching, case management, and tracking and reporting program activities to the participants.
The Employment Program Assistant Provides support services to the Manager of the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). The Employment Program Assistant will ensure data is entered timely and accurately into the required databases. The Employment Program Assistant will run reports as necessary and provide information to the SCSEP Manager and other staff as requested.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the SCSEP Program Assistant
Ensure that data is entered accurately into the required database on a timely basisRun reports to identify data discrepancies and look for Correct errorsMaintains the Master SpreadsheetReview participant files for completion and accuracy.Assists the SCSEP Manager with acquiring all necessary forms for client and host agency files.Develops professional relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients at all times.Completes the pre-screening process for new participants.Prepares all necessary reports according to established timelines.Participates in department / committee meetings as appropriate, taking action on assignedAssists in the collection of timesheets for payroll and reviews them for accuracy and completion.Completes the payroll spreadsheet and sends to accounting staff by the assigned deadline.Completes basic office functions such as filing, copying, creating packets, organizing, and mailings.Follows agency emergency and safety procedures as specified in Goodwills personnel and operating policies.Immediately alerts SCSEP Manager and other staff of any potentially critical issue or crisis situation.All other duties and special projects as assigned.Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
High School Diploma or GED required.Knowledgable in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is requiredAbility to recognize and manage confidential information is required.Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and ability to provide a driving record that meets insurability requirements is required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.Ability to lift up to 30 lbsProfessional demeanor at all timesStrong attention to detailExcellent communication skills across all levels of the organizationAbility to work in a team and independentlyOrganization and task flexibilityCritical thinkingPublic Demands
