JOB SUMMARY:
Provide technology problem solving to retail operations and assist with the loss prevention program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
1. Promote a safe, accident free, and healthy work environment by performing duties in a safe manner according to agency safety policy and procedures.
2. Pass applicable agency training and background screens including but not limited to criminal background check and drug screen.
3. Must abide by employee handbook policies.
4. Work within the responsibilities of the department to meet the strategic goals of the Agency.
5. Maintain acceptable attendance and dress code expectations to meet the needs of the department as established by the supervisor.
6. Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
7. Must be dependable, prompt, willing and able to follow directions, and able to get along with others.
8. Provides coverage and donation scheduling to the front desk as necessary.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Information Technology
10. Provide initial troubleshooting support regarding computer or technology problems to retail stores over the phone or in person as needed.
11. Perform routine maintenance tasks on Point of Sale computers including blowing out towers, disk defragmentation, scan disks.
12. Set up, repair, install software and replace technology hardware and software as needed.
13. Provide other technology support such as ordering and researching new equipment and software as requested.
14. Providing other troubleshooting support as able.
Loss Prevention
15. Monitor Agency security cameras for out of the ordinary situations.
16. Ensure security camera recorders are constantly recording camera activity.
17. Report facts and trends to the department director as needed.
18. Place surveillance equipment at locations as needed and adjust display angles as necessary.
Initials
19. Monitor locations for loss prevention occurrences or trends.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience with a Point of Sale system. One to three years education or experience with loss prevention, preferably in a retail setting. One to three years experience or education working with computers and technology; two to five beyond high school courses related to computer technology; previous troubleshooting or help desk experience a plus.
SKILLS:
1. Ability to effectively use computer applications and help others with various levels of experience do the same.
2. Ability to apply common sense understanding to various situations.
3. Ability to troubleshoot and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
4. Ability to organize, self manage, and utilize business writing and correspondence skills.
5. Ability to work well with others, including people from diverse populations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND CONTINUING EDUCATION:
Valid Nebraska driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of insurance and previous driving record to meet insurance requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium Work: Frequently the position requires moving, lifting, pushing or pulling items up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds, lifting and/or carrying items such as ladders, computer towers, monitors, and other technology parts. Position requires the ability to reach into low areas such as under counters or high areas from a ladder as necessary. Must be able to view information on security cameras.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Moderate: Occasionally exposed to extreme environmental conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, allergens etc.)
