EMPLOYEE LIFE AND CAREER COACH
This position is full-time and starts at $22.00 per hour.

As an Employee Life and Career Coach at Goodwill, you'll empower team members to identify, pursue, and achieve their short and long-term career goals while supporting their overall development and success. This role combines career development expertise with individualized coaching to help employees navigate their professional journey and reach their full potential within our organization.
The Employee Life and Career Coach will work with the Cascade and 29th Street locations as well as the Lowell and Ionia Stores with the opportunity to work remotely on occasion.
Typical Job duties :
- Assist employees in identifying career and life goals and helping to attain them to create stability in their job, move up within the company, and / or move out of Goodwill to a new job.
- Connect employees with training opportunities both within Goodwill and externally, connecting with Goodwill's generous tuition reimbursement benefit as appropriate.
- Develop meaningful relationships with employees by occasionally working closely with them as they do their jobs.
- Maintain regular contact with employees to reinforce and monitor the progress of the plan, assure quality / coordinated services, and update / modify goals as needed.
- Provide job placement and retention services in jobs in and outside of Goodwill.
- Must be able to provide own transportation to various sites in the community to fulfill the obligations of this position.
Success in this role requires the following :
1. Proficiency in record keeping and data management.
2. Ability to systematically make and maintain employer contacts : introducing Goodwill services, troubleshooting, and recognizing emerging opportunities within the work environment.
3. Ability to engage with diverse employees including individuals of different cultural backgrounds and individuals with physical, cognitive, and / or emotional disabilities, individually and in group settings.
4. Fundamental computer proficiency.
5. Ability to prioritize and manage time and responsibilities effectively.
6. Ability to work with community partners to provide holistic case management services.
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to self-start, motivate and follow through to progress towards quality services to internal and external customers.
9. Versatile and flexible - including working a flexible schedule as needed.
10. Your own transportation to various sites in the community to fulfill the obligations of this position.
11. Ability to problem solve through navigation of community resources, and collaboration with each individuals pre-existing support system.
12. Ability to provide a calm, supportive presence to individuals who find themselves in stressful situations including mental health crises.
