SUMMARY
The Apparel Supervisor Level I supervises and coordinates activities of sewing machine operators assembling articles. This position carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Ensures that daily production quotas are met.
- Ensures that quality products are produced.
- Completes documentation and reports as outlined in the quality assurance plan. This includes attendance, payroll, and production reports.
- Reports production and mechanical issues to the Supervisor.
- Attends training meetings as assigned.
- Meets 3 hours per year requirement of training/staff development.
- Utilizes a team work approach for all projects.
- Supports ISO-9000 and Quality Management Systems requirements.
- Promote vision, value, culture, and commitment to excellent customer services to all customers and stakeholders.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Assists with training of people with or without disabilities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises workers / participants in the Apparel Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
COMMENTS
Must have fabric/textile/apparel experience. This position requires passing and maintaining security background checks. Must have access to reliable transportation.
