Director of Food & Beverage – Sports & Entertainment Complex (Southwest Florida)
We are seeking an experienced Director of Food & Beverage to oversee all food, beverage, concessions, and catering operations at a premier sports and entertainment venue in Southwest Florida. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring seamless operations, maintaining profitability, and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for food & beverage operations, including budgeting, pricing, and menu development.
- Manage day-to-day operations across concessions, bars, and catering to ensure top-quality service.
- Oversee inventory, procurement, and cost control to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Lead marketing efforts to enhance sales and guest engagement.
- Train and mentor staff, ensuring compliance with service standards and health regulations.
- Continuously improve the guest experience by leveraging feedback and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to align goals and drive overall business success.
- Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed and support additional operational tasks.
- Extensive experience in high-volume food & beverage management, including concessions, bar, and catering operations.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in food costs, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a track record of enhancing guest experiences.
- Ability to analyze key performance metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Results-oriented, highly organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a sports and entertainment venue is a major plus.
- 5-7 years of food & beverage management experience in a high-volume setting.
- 3-5 years of experience managing budgets exceeding $2 million annually.
- Certifications: ServSafe Alcohol, ServSafe Manager, and TIPS (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Base Salary: $80,000 – $95,000, based on experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, or carrying may be required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
